Yesterday, it was time for the first race of the year, the North London Half Marathon. This was the second year they arranged this race, and the second time I’ve run it. Must say that everything felt bigger and more well organised this year, and it was a good choice to change the course so start and finish was at Wembley Arena. The finishing line was actually inside the area which was pretty cool (even if the stands were pretty empty…).
I finished on a new race PB, 1:48:02, which I am really pleased with. Struggled a bit with the somewhat hilly course, realising I need to do a lot more hill training…
All in all, it was a really nice way to kick off this year of running, which will take me through four half marathons and one full marathon if everything goes according to plan.
