Mid October my cousin Karin, Mattias and their son Otis visited London for the first time. It’s been a few years since we’d seen them so it was great to see them again, and great to share their first time in London. After they’d settled in to the guest room on Friday afternoon we hopped on the “buff” (bus according to Otis 2 years old) to Dalston for dinner at Pond, an amazing Hawaiian restaurant.
On Saturday we were tourists in east London, visiting our favourite places, like Broadway Market, Columbia rd and Brick Lane. In the evening we had dinner at one of Shoreditch’s best restaurants (according to us), Hoi Polloi. Yummy!
On Sunday we were tourists in west London. We had lunch in Notting Hill and strolled along Portabello rd. Before saying goodbye we visited the famous Abbey road crossing from the Beatles cover. That was a new one for us so that was fun.
It was a great weekend and I was really happy to see Karin again after all these years.
