Last weekend we had some more visitors, this time my brother John and his girlfriend Helena. On Saturday we started the day at the Science museum, which fit my brother, the engineer, perfectly. We then caught the tube to Piccadilly Circus and before embarking on a shopping adventure we had a nice lunch by Carnaby Street. After some post shopping resting at home we had a lovely dinner at Mussel Men in Dalston, followed by some drinks.
Sunday was spent strolling around east London. We walked along Regents Canal to Victoria Park and stopped for a coffee/hot chocolate in the village. After that we continued down to Columbia Road Flower Market, wanting to show our guests a true east London institution. We spent some time at the busy market, before heading to the Marksman, one of the best gastro pubs in the area, for a Sunday roast.
We finished our east London sightseeing tour by visiting Brick Lane Market, after which we ended up having beers and drinks at Well and Bucket. A perfect end to a nice weekend!
